Let us be true to ourselves in the definition of being a true American. Theoretically, those who are born in the United States of America are Americans. In practice, the true Americans are those that inhabit the American Continent.
The people of the United States of America talk about a «true American» yet the so called Left and Right separate people according to ethnicity, race, creed, religion, social status, and ideology. We as United States Citizens have to show loyalty to a system that has betrayed its own people, enslaved Native Americans and African Americans, and placed others [Japanese Americans] in Concentration Camps even though they were born in the USA and are loyal «Americans».
The people of the United States of America call themselves «true» Americans but only associate with their own ethnic groups and complain when others do the same thing. The Republicans and Democrats in an attempt to maintain their monopoly on power, use this form of «Americanism» as a way to create hatred and dissent. In fact, in Idaho; a couple was forced to marry in secret because the groom was African American and the bride was a White Anglo-Saxon. Both were born in the USA but were rejected.
Let us talk about the history of the United States of America. In the beginning, the Native Americans crossed what is now the Bering Straits and went to live in what is now the USA. Later on, the Europeans [Spanish, French, and English] came. It was the Spanish [or Latins] that founded the first city St. Augustine in Florida. They also founded missions and cities in what is now Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California, and Nevada.
The Spanish came before the English and eventually helped the United States win its war of independence against the British.
In 1660, England restores its monarchy and the Puritans [ancestors of todays Republicans and Democrats] go to what is now the Eastern Seaboard with their hatred and bigotry which evolved into the racist left and right. They used indentured servants and slaves because they did not have the desire to work.
Since then, if the USA was a great country; it was due to God [A Superior Deity], Diversity, and Individualism. Another thing that helped was that the State was separated from Religion, Business, and Education. With notable exceptions, most of the Presidents of the USA have been disasters.
I would like to challenge the United States of America to forge a new America free from its inferiority complex. The way to do that is to get rid of the left and right dichotomy, replace it with a Libertarian Concept of Obeying the Constitution and accepting people for what they are. I also challenge the people of America to marry amongst each other without regard to race, creed, color, and religion. I challenge the people of America to embrace freedom and the Constitution.
