NEW COACH FOR KFA
The Korean Football Association [KFA] has confirmed that they have two candidates to coach the Korean National Team. Mick Mc Carthy [who heads the Wolverhampton Wolves] and Gerard Houllier [Former Liverpool Manager who received the backing of Ex FA Vice President David Dein for the job in England]. The KFA will make their final decision on the 8th of December 2007.
I personally hope that Mick Mc Carthy will be selected. Mick Mc Carthy had International Experience with the Republic of Ireland and took them to the second round of the 2002 World Cup before going with the Wolves. Mc Carthy also has the advantage of no other offers or compromises which could interfere with his acceptance of the KFA Coaching Job.
Gerard Houllier on the other hand has the International Experience [Lyon, France] but it is possible that he could be England’s Next Coach [if Dein has his way]. This could complicate matters for the KFA. The KFA deserves Mick Mc Carthy and he deserves the KFA. For this and much more, Mick Mc Carthy has my support.
