Branislav Ivanovic Signs With Chelsea

One of the rising Soccer [Football] Stars signed a contract with Chelsea and his name is Branislav Ivanovic.

  This news comes in the wake of Chelsea signing Anelka and consists of the following: A Deal worth approximately Nine Million Pound Sterling, a work permit [which was obtained], a medical examination, and some terms of discussion between Chelsea and the representatives of Branislav Ivanovic. 

Branislav Ivanovic was born in 1984 in what was then Yugoslavia. He began his Soccer [Football] Career in the football club of SREM Sremska Mitrovica. He was transferred to the OFK Beograd Football Club in 2003 where he played in the Serbian Superliga until 2006. In the year 2006, he was tranferred to the Russian Football [Soccer] Club FC Lokomotiv Moscow. 

It was during this period that he played as Defender and scored 12 goals within 151 appearances. In the year 2008, there were rumours of various football clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Inter Milan wanting to sign Branislav Ivanovic. 

In the end, Chelsea was able to sign Branislav Ivanovic. Chelsea gained a lot with this rising star. 

Branislav Ivanovic is a versatile player who played for Serbia in the Under Twenty One and Seniour Category. He received his first cap in 2006 during a friendly game between Serbia and Italy in Canada. Branislav Ivanovic scored his first International Goal against Portugal during the Euro 2008 Qualifiers during the Serbia VS Portugal Game in Lisbon, Portugal. His First International Goal led to a draw between Serbia and Portugal in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers. During his period with the Serbian National Team, he scored five goals in forty four appearances. 

Branislav Ivanovic is starting a new chapter in his professional career and in the history of the prestigious club at Stamford Bridge called Chelsea. I would like to wish him and Chelsea the best because they deserve the best.
