I would like to depart from the usual talk about sports and politics to talk about a 13 year old girl and her condition. Her name is Zunnette Rodriguez and at a time when girls her age are talking about the latest idols or enjoying the latest fads, she is suffering the consequences of a delivery that went wrong. She was born two weeks after her due date and as a result, oxygen did not arrive to her brain. The delivery was also done by a Physician who did NOT have malpractice insurance.

 

The result is a treatment that involves giving oxygen to a girl that costs almost $565,000.00. The family does not have this money to pay for the treatment. The Cuban American Singer Maria Lourdes saw the special concerning Zunnette Rodriguez and decided to help. Maria Lourdes is one of the singers who is a regular in the Univision Show called “Don Francisco Presenta [Don Francisco Presents]” every Wednesday.

 

Maria Lourdes is planning a concert called “Iluminando Un Corazon [Illuminating a Heart]” in which many artists from the Miami will participate. The Concert will be at the Roxy Theater at 1645 SW 107 Ave and the tickets will be $10.00 per person. I am hoping to be able to go to the concert.
