Ronaldo Ruptures Left Knee

I have been reading about how AC Milan, and Silvio Berlusconi are worried about the career of Ronaldo after he suffered a rupture of his left knee. They are worried about the career of Ronaldo. I am personally worried about the health of Ronaldo. While recognizing that Ronaldo has shown potential where he plays, it would be a mistake to worry about his career while ignoring Ronaldo the person.

It is hoped that Ronaldo can recover not just for his football career but for his personal sake. I think of Ronaldo as not just one of the greatest strikers but as one of the greatest humanitarian. Maybe others will not think of Ronaldo in that sense of the word but I remember how he was in the commercials of Univision TV [A US Latin TV Station] during Univision’s Telecast of the World Cup of 2006.
In the commercial which was a public service commercial, he was with Kaka telling the future generations to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Ronaldo with Kaka also challeneged the youth of tomorrow to stay away from gangs. Ronaldo does not deserve to spend the rest of life being sidelined secondary to a left knee injury. Ronaldo deserves more opportunities and if possible, maybe as a coach of the Brazilian National Team.
Only time will tell what will happen but I am imploring and praying for Ronaldo and AC Milan that Ronaldo recovers and if he is unable to play, that he could still be useful to the world of football either as a coach, a radio and TV Commentator, or even the head of a Foundation dedicated to helping the youth learn football and turn away from gangs, drugs, and alcohol.
I also hope that if and when Ronaldo goes for his surgery that he is healed. Of course, surgery does not give perfect results but at least it is hoped that it would help. I write this from my heart and soul after hearing what has happened. The words at time escapes me but it is a crime that Ronaldo would end his career and have damage to his health because of a torn ligament in the left knee. I still have hope that he would recover and that maybe he could still offer his expertise to humanity.
Maybe it is the weak point that emanates from all football supporters or maybe it is the humanitarian gesture of goodwill. Maybe it is a combination of both. I just hope that Ronaldo recovers from his surgery and that AC Milan does well in its season. Ronaldo still has a lot to offer at the young age of thirty one and after a career that started in the 1990’s and was filled with hope, victories, and of course the agonies and injustices.
