The news about the Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer [Democrat] involved in a Prostitution Ring caught me by surprise. I was at a restaurant when the television on the restaurant broke the news. I think it was Telemundo’s Program «ARV [A Rojo Vivo»] which means «News Exposed to the Maximum» and hosted by Maria Celeste Arraras. My initial reaction was of laughter since Spitzer was elected Governor of New York promising a clean sweep of politics and lifestyle. It was bordering on the ridiculous when he was known as «Client Number Nine» and that he was known as «George Fox». My question has to be if he was listening to the interpretation of the famous song called «Love Potion Number Nine» by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. [I do not know of any other interpretations of «Love Potion Number Nine» except for the Herb Alpert version and another version recorded in Spain in the 1960’s].

  The fact that Eliot Spitzer was able to use a prostitution ring and Larry Craig was able to use a men’s bathroom in the Minneapolis Minnesota airport for his sexual act leads to one thing. The Republican and Democratic Leadership in the United States of America has descended into a ring of immorality. Another lesson to be learned is that we the people should not trust our leaders or government to always do the right thing. Our elected officials are human. Our elected officials as well as world dictators are humans who take a bath, urinate, burp, fart, scratch their butts, and are involved in prostitution sex rings. 

The best thing that could happen for New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is to resign. It appears that he is in the process of getting his affairs in order to resign on today Tuesday on the 11th of March 2008. I hope he resigns and the sooner the better. In fact, the majority of the Republicans and Democrats should come out clean and resign so that we have a new face including those from the Libertarian and Green Party who are strong believers in clean government and term limits. 

The Minority Speaker of the New York State Assembly Mr. Tedesco has called on Governor Spitzer to tender his resignation or risk being subject to an impeachment trial. Mr. Tedesco has to talk with the majority Democratic Leadership before submitting any articles of impeachment. In other breaking story, CBS 6 Albany has received information that Mr. Patterson who is the Lieutenant Governor is on his way to Albany [The State Capitol] from his home in Schenectady. Polls taken in News Channel 13 of Albany [an NBC Affiliate] and an ABC Affiliate in the same city which is Channel 10 in which 83% of the people polled have asked for Spitzer’s Resignation 

 

 

New York is aware of what is happening and that does not do any good in a state where big government is the fashionable trend. The rest of the world is using this as comedy fodder and I myself am afraid that the victory of the New York Giants has been opaque by this scandal. It is hoped that New York can move forward and resolve the issues that are pending. The same applies to the United States of America.
