I would like to express my deepest sympathies for the State of New York for becoming the butt of the jokes about a Governor and a Prostitution Ring. It also comes after the New York Giants have won the Super Bowl in Arizona. I have tried to contain my laughter when I first heard the news but I was thinking about the state of New York where my family lives, the people who confided in Spitzer including his family. Most of the problems occurred when society in the United States of America abandoned God and the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments duly prohibits adultery. Jesus Christ in one of his sermons says that even lust in the eyes of the beholder can constitute adultery.

  The best thing that the Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer should do is resign. It is not enough to admit guilt, he has to resign for the sake of his family, the State of New York, and as a sign of true atonement for having abused the confidence deposited in him. For Spitzer to remain Governor of New York would be admitting that «Everything is everything» and that no problem exists. If Spitzer remains as Governor of New York, a future governor could say that «If Spitzer could do it and get away with it, I can to». The fact that Larry Craig and Eliot Spitzer have done damage to the Republic and to their states and their family is enough for the people to say: «Go». 

In an ongoing poll conducted by WNYT 13 [which is an NBC affiliate in Albany New York] in which 2,309 people were surveyed, 1,927 out of the 2,309 people or 83.46% are in favour of the resignation of Eliot Spitzer. The Governor of New York cannot ignore 83.46% of the people and remain as Governor. The people are sick and tired of the rampant corruption, favoritism, contradictions in our elected officials. If an elected official has committed wrong against his or her family, his or her state, and his or her country; the best solution is to resign, get counseling, serve jail time, and hope that time can prove as a healer. At least Barbuto [A Judge in Akron Ohio until the Scandals of 1979 or 1980 forced him out] had the dignity to admit he was wrong when he had his version of a prostitute ring and resign. 

The Republican Minority Speaker has threatened to impeach Mr. Spitzer if there is no resignation within forty eight hours. According to reports from WTEN 10 [an ABC Affiliate in Albany New York], Spitzer risked everything for sex. Reports from CBS 6 in Albany New York have Mr. Patterson who is the Lieutenant Governor of New York on the way to Albany. 

I sent an electronic mail to the office of Eliot Spitzer Governor of New York to see if he will resign as soon as possible. I have yet to receive a reply. If Eliot Spitzer is reading this article, he should resign if he has any dignity and integrity left.
