Phillies Condemns Domestic Political Violence
Worcester Massachusetts. March 6. — Libertarian Presidential candidate
George Phillies today condemned domestic political violence, most recently
the Times Square bombing attack Thursday morning. «We are not under
foreign military occupation. We are not a tyranny that lets only one or two
Tweedledum parties on the ballot. Americans can settle their differences
through the soap box and the ballot box, and that is what we should do.»
Phillies reminded Americans that the Bush administration has so far failed to end
the large-scale domestic terror campaign ongoing in America. «Since 1977, we have
had by good count ‘seven murders, 17 attempted murders, 41 bombings, 100 acid
attacks, and 175 arsons’ if we only count attacks on abortion clinics. We’ve also
had attacks on members of minority religions, at least one using biological warfare.
Against these terrorists, the Bush Administration is astonishingly ineffective.»
Phillies promised that if elected he will work vigorously to protect Americans
against terrorist attacks. «Mind you,» Phillies closed, «The best protection against
terrorists remains an armed citizenry, and I’ll work vigorously to help Americans
choose that protection, especially New Yorkers who were left disarmed by their
Republican mayor.»
