ZANU-PF Blames ZBC for Defeat

The Financial Gazette of Zimbabwe has reported that the ruling ZANU-PF is blaming the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation [ZBC] and Zimbabwe Newspaper Groups [Zimpaper] for its defeat and or poor performance in the Elections [including the Presidential Elections] of the 29th of March 2008. The Ministry of Information and Publicity has also been blamed. The result has been an internal war between the ZANU-PF Information Ministry and the three institutions ZBC, Zimpaper, and the Ministry of Information and Publicity. There have been stories of Junior Media Officials denouncing their superiors as supporters of Makoni and MDC. Attempts to find a second opinion in the Zimbabwe Independent were unsuccessful as the website was closed to the public. Again this is not surprising since dictators or leaders at times of weakness have tended to blame others for their failures.
