At the present time, according to reports from the BBC News Website, The ruling ZANU-PF [Mugabe] Party has displaced 1000 people in Manicaland Province in the Eastern Part of Zimbabwe with increasing violence. The MDC has remained defiant and is calling for a general strike for Tuesday the 15th of April 2008. This is occurring as the High Court of Zimbabwe rejected the petition of the MDC [Movement for Democratic Change] for immediate release of the Presidential Election Results. The Speaker of the South African Parliament Baleka Mbete has stated that Zimbabwe’s Election Crisis is «Democracy Gone wrong» and has criticized the indifference of South Africa towards Zimbabwe.
