Zimbabwe and UN

According to the BBC News Website, the MDC and other opposition groups has asked for the United Nations to intervene in Zimbabwe. The opposition has talked about the failure of African Diplomacy. Meanwhile the United Nations Security Council has asked for the release of the results of the Presidential Elections and ZANU-PF [Mugabe] Deputy Information Minister Bright Matonga dismissed the suggestion of ZANU-PF [Mugabe] Ambassador to the United Nations Boniface Chidyausiku of a National Unity Government. Mr. Mutonga said that the priority of ZANU-PF [Mugabe] is to win the Elections and govern as ZANU-PF [Mugabe] without «agents» and «sell outs» such as Tsvangerai.

Not even animals have escaped the cruelty of the Zimbabwe Conflict. PETA and other Animal Rights Groups have condemned the cruelty to animals at Friedwall Farm after employees of Edwin Mashiringwani [Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe] took over the farm from its white owners. The employees of the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe have refused to feed 4,000 pigs, 15,000 crocodiles, and a number of cows. The Vice President of the CFU [Commercial Farmers Union] Deon Theron was evicted from his farm while the President of the CFU Trevor Gifford barricaded himself in his house and is trying to avoid eviction.

In Tshovani Township near Chiredzi, the people were shouting: «Mugabe Must Go». The agony continues.
