Before writing about the best Equestrian Riders, it is important to define what is equestrian. Equestrian Sports is defined as Horseback Riding. After defining Equestrian Sports, it is important to talk about the best Olympic Equestrian Rider. Her name is Amy Tryon and her horse [or her mount in equestrian terms] is Poggio II. Amy Tryon was born in Seattle, Washington on the Twenty Forth of February 1970 and currently lives in Duvall, Washington. Her specialty in Equestrian Sports is eventing. [Before continuing on the life of Amy Tryon and Poggio II, I want to define Eventing. Eventing is an event in the Equestrian World which is defined as Dressage, Cross Countty, and Show-Jumping. Eventing can be a one day event or three day event].
Amy Tryon was a woman with ambition and is an example of how in the United States of America, a person can change careers of they study and work hard. Amy Tryon was going for her bachelor’s degree when she decided to become a firefighter. During her time as a firefighter, she met her future husband and they married. After the attack on the Twin Towers on the Eleventh of September 2001, she felt the pressure of the being a firefighter affecting her and she would find refuge in the Equestrian Academies of Washington State. In fact, the Fire Department where she worked denied her leave when she wanted to compete in the 2004 Athens Olympics. As a result, two of her co workers in the fire department organized a shift trade that amounted to thirty five shift trades so that she could practice and compete in the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Amy Tryon decided to practice with her horse Poggio II for the 2004 Olympics. [Poggio II was a horse who is fifteen years olf and was purchased ten years ago by Amy Tryon in a trade between her friend and her]. Amy Tryon and Poggio II were able to compete in the 2004 Athens Olympics and win the Bronze Medal. Amy Tryon also won the Bronze Medal in the World Equestrian Games in 2006 on an individual basis. In 1999, she finished fourth in the Pan American Games and was able to help the United States of America win a Gold Medal. Her participation in the Pan American Games was before she decided to dedicate herself full time to Equestrian Sports. She has even survived the Le Samurai Scandal which left her suspended for two days since she was not aware that Le Samurai had tripped. Amy Tryon has expressed remorse for what happened to Le Samurai and has stated that she love horses.
Amy Tryon is one of the best Olympic Equestrian Riders and she [as well as Poggio II] deserve a Gold Medal. Amy Tryon also deserves a Gold Medal for being able to maneuver around careers as well as for being a kind and decent person.
Very nice.
