CRI & CCTV are the Best

The websites of the Beijing Olympics 2008 will be many such as NBC, Telemundo, BBC, and others but the best website to follow the Olympics is the source of great information about the Olympics. The websites that are the best are those of CCTV or China Central Television and CRI which is China Radio International. Before continuing about CCTV and CRI, the websites of CCTV is: http://english.cctv.com/index.shtml while CRI English is http://english.cri.cn/beijing2008/index.htm.

CCTV or CCTV International is the English Service Television for CCTV or China Central Television which was established on the 25th of September 2000 with the intention of promoting world news including China which is never covered in the Western World secondary to the monopoly of the Western Conglomerates. CCTV has been an alternative in news, entertainment, and sports for those who want freedom in the airwaves. CCTV is one of the stations with broadcasting rights to the Beijing Olympics that have experts in the field of sports.

CRI or China Radio International started life as a shortwave radio station in 1941 before the proclamation of The People’s Republic of China. CRI was previously known as Radio Peking and Radio Beijing before becoming China Radio International. Regardless of the name change, CRI has broadcast to the world in different languages and has been instrumental in increasing the exchange of ideas and cultures between China and the world. CRI has been the only station that broadcasts on Shortwave Radio and the Internet. CRI also has other stations such as Easy FM 91.5 which broadcasts contemporary music. CRI English launched its website in 1997 when the Internet was in its infancy. Since then, the website has grown to become an accompaniment to the Shortwave Radio. CRI is more than just a radio station, it is family. CRI has oversea bureaus in Jerusalem, New York, Sydney, London, Harare, and Washington.

CCTV and CRI are the best in the broadcasting industry for a great sporting and historical event such as the Beijing Olympics 2008. With the coverage of the Olympics by CCTV [China Central Television] and CRI [China Radio International], we will have an alternative to other websites from the West that claim to report on the Beijing Olympics but always have a biased coverage.

Again, I would like to wish the People’s Republic of China, CCTV [China Central Television] and CRI [China Radio International] the best in the Beijing Olympics 2008. I am sure that the Beijing Olympics 2008 will be the Olympics that will be superior to previous Olympics.
