For those in the United States that wanted to boycott the Beijing Olympics of 2008, Michael Phelps is proof of why sports and politics must be separated. Michael Phelps is proof of why people should come together in an Olympic Spirit. For me, it is a pleasure to congratulate Michael Phelps on his Gold Medal Victory in the 400 metre individual relay and the 4 x 100 metre freestyle relay. As an American Citizen by Birth who believes in the separation of sports from politics, Micheal Phelps has done our country proud. I wish Michael Phelps and the United States of America Olympic Swimming Team the best.

PS: I have visited Micheal Phelps Website and invited him or his representative to be interviewed in my blog at a time convenient for them. It is hoped that they will accept but again it is understood that Michael Phelps should concentrate on swimming and then we could talk about an interview.
