Many people have a tendency to think of the NBA as a group of overpaid basketball players. We are confronted with the reality that this is nothing more than a stereotype. Xinhua and CRI English announced that Yao Ming attended a ground breaking ceremony for a school in the earthquake stricken region of Sichuan. The Primary School will be in Guangyuan in Sichuan Province and its construction is being funded from the Yao Ming Foundation which was founded after the earthquakes in China.
Yao Ming was also present in another ceremony for the construction of the school and spent time with the children of the earthquake victims and their families and even played basketball. I would like to thank Xinhua and CRI English for reporting this story with the intention of promoting positive stories instead of negative stories of the world.
