I do not usually write about the New York Jets but after watching the New York Jets defeat the Arizona Cardinals, I had to write about the last 27 seconds of the game in which Anquan Boldin collided with two New York Jets Players. The players crashed into the head of Anquan Boldin and he appeared to have received a major injury within the last 27 seconds of a game which saw the New York Jets defeat the Arizona Cardinals 56 to 35.
I feel badly for Anquan Boldin and the Arizona Cardinals for the injury that happened within 27 seconds of the end of the game. It is something that should never have happened especially the previous injuries that Boldin received. While aware that American Football is a contact sport and that these things may be unavoidable, I often wander if Boldin had to pay the ultimate price. While aware that there cannot be regulations to soften the blows of American Football, I wander if this scene could have been avoided.
I would love to say more but the fact that the New York Jets committed this injury makes me wander if the NFL has penalties for the New York Jets. In the meantime, my heart, prayers, and soul is with the Anquan Boldin, his family, and the Arizona Cardinals.
