FIFA VS Poland

The last time Poland was in the FIFA Radar was when the Government suspended its Football [Soccer] Association. FIFA gave a deadline to Poland to reinstate its Football Association. When Poland failed to meet the FIFA Deadline, FIFA threatened to remove the Euro 2012 Games from Poland and award it to another country. FIFA also threatened to give automatic defeats of 3-0 to Poland in their upcoming games against the Czech Republic and Slovakia.  The Polish Sports Ministry defended their right to suspend the Polish Football Association and has asked FIFA to remove all of their deadlines and threats.

While the Polish Sports Ministry may have good intentions, FIFA has a set of rules that all members must adhere to and that is the separation of football [soccer] from politics.  FIFA has made these rules and has followed them in order for football [soccer] to be enjoyed without the interference of government. FIFA should have looked into the situation involving Poland and Ukraine before awarding them the Euro 2012 Games. Poland and Ukraine should have done everything including non interference with the Football [Soccer] Associations in order to have a successful Euro 2012. Now, I think that this is not possible.

FIFA and the Polish Government must sit down and resolve this impasse. If there is no resolution, maybe FIFA can award Euro 2012 to the Czech Republic and Estonia for example.
