The second half had more excitement than the first half with Landon Donovan, Brian Ching, Jozzy Altidore, and Oguchi Onyewu scoring goal after goal with help from other personalities of the United States Soccer Team such as Freddy Adu, Heath Pearce, Sacha Klejstan, and Clint Dempsey. In fact, the United States Soccer [Football] Team played a consistent game, were organized, and disciplined. It was through this teamwork that the USA was able to clinch the FIFA World Cup Qualifier. The only inconvenience was when Michael Bradley received a yellow card almost at the end of the game for anti professional behaviour unbecoming of a sports person. DeMarcus Bradley was declared the Sierra Mist Man of the Match.

The Cuban Soccer Team left much to be desired with attempts at reacting to the American Onslaught left much to be desired. It appeared that the Cuban Soccer Team lost its balance and became disorganized during the games. Reysander Fernandez received a yellow card for his anti professional behaviour. Yoel Colome received two cautions and was finally expelled from the game for his anti professional behaviour unbecoming of a sports person.
