The pundits of the US Mainstream Media, the Auto Industry, and their Labour Unions have already decided to criticize the Chery with comments that it will become a lemon. The people use the same excuse to hide the fact that the US Auto Industry in all of its spheres is not only bankrupt in money but in ideas. During my visit to China in the Summer of 2008, I saw many Chery Cars in the streets of Beijing competing with other cars.

I once rode in a Chery Car and found it comfortable, safer, and energy efficient compared to the big three called General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler. Chery achieved this in more than one decade after its establishment in Wuhu, Anwei Province, People’s Republic of China. Chery was founded on the principle of producing great cars for the world by producing them in their country. Chery Cars undergo inspections including safety checks that are more rigorous than those asked of the Big Three.

In fact, Chery signed a contract with Chrysler at the Diaoyutai Guest House in Beijing, China. As a result of this contract, we are seeing Chery Cars in the United States of America. Chery even signed agreements with Fiat, Iran Khodro, and Canada’s Solitacfor joint ventures which is proof of the confidence that many auto manufacturers and consumers have in Chery. Chery has also signed agreements with the Russian Automobile Company Avtotor for the SKD Model which is one of the greatest cars in Russia.

One of the Chery Cars called the QQ3 has an sport like design for the person who likes sports cars. The QQ3 has been engineered for comfort and has a five door configuration for passengers. The QQ3 also has a cage like structure which helps in resisting accidents and is highly rated by automobile associations. The brake system in the QQ3 has discs in front and drums in the back to ensure proper breakage. The front suspension and rear suspension is also great in absorbing shocks.

The Eastar is the car that I had the honour and pleasure to ride in during my trip to China. I was impressed with the Delphi Anti Brake System, Four Key System Airbag, and a low brake fluid alarm with a reverse Radar. My hosts played a DVD of a musical concert so that I could get a feel for its video and audio system. It was an unforgettable experience.

The Air Conditioner was on and it was comfortable. The Eastar is the equivalent of an auto paradise that many people would love. It is a shame that I could not take one of these cars home with me to the United States of America. The American Consumer would love the Chery just as the rest of the world loves it.

The Chery Car Company also has models such as the Cowin, Tiggo, QQ6, V5, A5, Karry, A1, and Riich I which are great cars in their own right with their internal and external beauty as well as safety and durability.
