It was on a cold night in Columbus, Ohio on the 11th of February 2009 when the United States [Football] Soccer Team played against the Mexican Team. The [Football] Soccer Rivalry between the United States of America and Mexico is strong. The latest match between the two countries in order to classify for the 2010 World Cup was called the Cold War.
The reason for the name Cold War was because of the weather in Columbus, Ohio and has nothing to with politics.
It was a game in which both forces measured each other but with the United States dominating the game. In the end it was the two goals of Michael Bradley that gave the United States of America a Two to Zero Victory over Mexico.
The first goal by Michael Bradley was in the first half in 43 minutes. The second goal occurred near the end of the second half with 90 and more minutes aggregate time. It was a big time for Michael Bradley and the United States [Football] Soccer Team. It is with pleasure that there should be a profile for Michael Bradley.
Michael Bradley has been in [Football] Soccer since he was born in Princeton, New Jersey on the Thirty First Day of July in the year 1987. His father whose name is Bob Bradley is the head coach of the United States [Football] Soccer team and was coach of the Chicago Fire. It was for this reason that Michael Bradley spent part of his formative years in Illinois. He started his [Football] Soccer career with the Chicago Sockers.
Michael Bradley also attended High School at the US Soccer’s Academy Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida. He was a member of the United States National Team for under seventeen [squad] and under twenty player [pool]. It was during this period as well as the Chicago Sockers that he started honing his [Football] Soccer skills.
He started his professional career with the Metro Stars before continuing with Heerenveen and Borussia Monchengladbach between the years 2004 to the present time. It was during this time that he scored eighteen goals in ninety eight appearances. He also started his career with the United States [Football] Soccer Team in the year 2006 and scored five goals in twenty seven appearances. This includes the two goals in the game between the United States and Mexico called the Cold War.
I would like to congratulate Michael Bradley for his two goals and the United States [Football] Soccer team for their victory over Mexico. They deserve the victory and the right to participate in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
