The United States of America is governed by the Republican and Democratic Elite. The politicians and members of the governing elite lack the moral standard they promote at home and abroad.
EXAMPLES OF LACK OF MORAL FIBER IN THE REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATIC ELITE
The Republican and Democratic Elite love to talk about human rights and exporting democracy abroad while repressing the rights of the Libertarians and Greens. The Libertarian and Green Party are repressed by discriminatory laws that do not allow them to campaign on an even playing field.
Who can ever forget during the 2004 elections when the politicians of the State of Ohio nullified 57,000 signatures from a Libertarian Party Petition? The reason given by the politicians including the Secretary of State of this state were mere technicalities. The real reason was that the Governing Elite including corrupt politicians could not accept competition and ideas from people who disagree with them.
The Republicans and Democrats who misgovern the United States of America talk about reducing the size of government and making government more efficient. The opposite has occurred with the possibility of a deficit that may reach trillions of dollars and the possibility that our children and grandchildren will have to clean up the mess.
The politicians from this elite declared that the economy will recover with the stimulus. The opposite is occurring and it must be remembered that Franklin Delano Roosevelt started Pearl Harbor in order to remove the United States of America from its Depression.
The Republican and Democratic Elite talk about being accessible to the people and answering their questions. The answers have been in different forms such as Nixon denying that he was a crook, Clinton denying he had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky, and politicians finding excuses not to see their constituents. There are citizen journalists who wanted to interview Mr. Rod Blagojevich during his tour of America. Mr. Blagojevich talked with CNN, ABC, and the big mainstream media while ignoring the common citizens of Illinois.
An example of how the Politicians and their Mainstream Media lack moral standard has been the way Texas and Alaska have been treated during the 2008 Elections. The feeling of alienation and the lack of an apology from the politicians in Washington have fueled separatist sentiments in Texas and Alaska.
The Politicians from the Republican and Democratic Elite loves to help other countries. They administer the foreign aid without monitoring where the money is headed. The money that goes to foreign aid can be used to help America.
The Governing Elite of the United States of America have also supported Castro and Chavez and may have invented the confrontations with them. The reason is to maintain their power base and attempt to bring cheap professional help from those countries. The money that goes to these invented confrontations can be used to educate professionals in the United States of America.
The Governing Elite of Republicans and Democrats in Washington DC lack moral standards as evidenced by what has been seen, heard, and written. The answer to the reality is that politicians should be held to a higher standard even though they are humans who burp and fart.
THE SOLUTION
There should be term limits for ALL political positions at the State, County, and Federal Level. The idea of an end to the discriminatory ballot access laws and the Electoral College is an idea worth examining. Another example of holding politicians in the United States of America to a higher moral standard is to allow the presence of international observers in ALL Elections. If elections outside the USA are monitored for transparency, the same should apply to elections inside the country.
The people of the United States of America should not look at their politicians or institutions as if they were wise men. The politicians and institutions are either human beings or composed of human beings with their defects and flaws. What happens is that the people must demand that the politicians earn their trust.
The politician should lead by example, practice what he or she preaches, tell the truth even if it hurts, and take into account that their job is not a permanent one. The idea of a career politician has damaged the United States of America. The people even those with less education should run for office if they have anything to offer.
If the Republican and Democratic Elite continue with their corrupt ways and lack of moral standards, the people have the right to remove them via free elections. The ideal replacement would be the Libertarian Party since the majority of the members of that party believe in being held to a higher moral standard with regards to governance.
The Libertarian Party believes in term limits, fair play, telling the truth, transparency in government, less government, and no involvement in foreign affairs. They might not have the answers on how the politicians can be held to a higher moral standard but at least it is a beginning.
