At a time when it appeared that the Father Alberto Cutie scandal would die down after his interview with US Latin TV Station Univision, he makes the same pitch with Maggie Rodriguez of CBS News «The Early Show».

During the interview with Ms. Rodriguez of «The Early Show», Cutie puts his foot in his mouth. He stated that he did not want to be remembered as the anti celibacy priest yet at the same time supported it as an option.

He admitted to being a priest for 22 years and then recently falls in love. In the interview with Univision,he admitted a ten year «relationship with Ms. Cannelis». At the same time, attendance in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church declines as people who follow him are willing to go whatever church Father Alberto Cutie decides to go.

The US Latin TV Station Telemundo is in the process of polling people with the question of whether people would change religions if Father Alberto Cutie would move to another church. The US Latin Station America Teve’s program «A Mano Limpia» {Clean Hands] had another episode dedicated to Father Alberto Cutie.

In a separate story, Univision reported from the town in Guatemala where Ms. Cannelis was originally from. The half sister talked about Ms. Cannelis and how she «was in love». Guatemala appeared to be divided about this latest twist in a soap opera that resembles the Blagojevich saga in a twisted way.

It appears that certain people in Miami Florida and in the US Latin Community will not allow this story to die.
