After reading about the nervous breakdown of a contestant in a British Realty TV Show, the underwriter decided to take a look at previous articles written about Reality TV. He was inspired to write about Reality TV after seeing portions of CNN’s Larry King talk about Reality TV going too far after CNN ignored the topic for a long time.

There was a time in Western Society when television programmes had values that were in tune with family and gave positive concepts. Many programs such as The Munsters, The Addams Family and even the cartoon characters of The Chipmunks, The Beatles, Wacky Races, and Archies made people feel better with good entertainment.

Public Television in the United States of America even had a program dedicated to cartoons called «International Cartoon Festival» hosted by Jane Seymour which showed cartoons from different countries including Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia [this was a programme in the 1970’s], and Great Britain. The BBC, Thames, and others had British Comendy like the Goodies, Benny Hill, and Dave Allen that made people laugh.

The present time is trash TV with Reality TV in the face and ears of the people. It is all around in all of the channels and it has people becoming famous by losing their dignity. One Reality TV Show was even dedicated to «Swapping Wives» which in itself is terrible. It is surreal how people can allow themselves to lose their dignity.

The people who come out of these reality TV shows may have talent but there are others who have almost no talent. The artists who start their career in Reality TV do not have the same appeal as those who start by struggling in restaurants, bars, and night clubs trying to sell their music to the public. The ones who struggle to sell their music in the streets have more dignity than the flashpan successes in reality TV.

Who can ever forget how Jane Goody [who is a bitch that has no talent] trashed Shilpa Shetty in acts of racism during the stupid programme called Big Brother? Many people were outraged at the treatment of Shilpa Shetty in the hands of the bitch Jane Goody yet they love Reality TV. Is it because of what P.T. Barnum once said that «A Sucker Is Born Every Minute»? It is often wandered if Barnum’s saying is a reality in today’s world.

At least television in Russia and Non Western Countries have values that are family oriented. It is hoped that these countries never become contaminated by the poison of Reality TV. It is also hoped that one day Non Western Countries and Russia could export their genre of pro family TV to Western Countries including the USA.

It is also hoped that one day people will tire of Reality TV and ask for wholesome entertainment unless the West once to end up like the Roman Empire. After all, the Roman Empire fell not because of invasion from the outside but because of the corrosion and destruction from the inside.
