Drogba Receives Four Game UEFA Ban After Insults

Didier Drogba has been banned for four matches after insulting a referee during Chelsea’s defeat to Barcelona. Jose Boswinga also received a ban for three games while Chelsea received a fine of 85,000 Pound Sterlings.

After the game was over, Drogba and Boswinga had arguments with the referee Tom Henning Ovrebo concerning some of the rulings against Chelsea. Drogba had to be restrained after harassing the referee and replied that he was willing to accept any punishment.

While Drogba was willing to accept responsibility for his actions, this is not the first time that this has happened. The Football World has seen this pattern repeat itself on a continual basis. It would be better if UEFA were to recommend anger management as well as anti harassment treatment.
