The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea [otherwise known as North Korea] is famous for Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, the nuclear issue, and being one of the few communist countries that received help from Russia and China.
North Korea is also exporting jeans called Noko Jeans but with one difference. The jeans have a black colour since North Korea associates blue jeans with the USA. The jeans are being sold in Sweden for the price of $220 US Dollars.
Jakob Ohlsson is one of the founding executives of Noko Jeans and has stated that the purpose of the jeans is to increase contact with North Korea. Noko Jeans will be explaining more about its products in the weeks to come. They will be sold in the PUB Store in Stockholm and on cyberspace.
It remains to be seen whether there will be people interested. The underwriter extended an invitation to an interview to Noko Jeans.
The story of Noko Jeans reminded the underwriter of a beer commercial produced in North Korea by the Taedonggang Beer Factory and a fried chicken restaurant in the Communist country.
