The BBC World Service is announcing that it will hold a vote for the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2009. The nominees are Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Samuel Eto’o, Yaya Toure, and Tresor Mputu Mabi.

The people interested in voting can visit the BBC World Service Website for further instructions or send a text [via the instructions. The results will be announced on the 8th of January 2010.
