Landon Donovan has signed a four year contract with the LA Galaxy. The significance of this contract is that while Donovan will be on loan to Everton, he will remain with the LA Galaxy. He states that he remains committed to LA Galaxy and to LA.

During the press conference to announce the news, Landon Donovan has expressed his love for Los Angeles and the LA Galaxy. He is also looking forward to the next four years. He was named the MVP [Most Valued Player] of the year for the MLS after he participated in the USA receiving second place in the FIFA Confederation Cup in 2009.

It was a Confederation Cup that the pundits did not think the US could advance. It remains to be seen what will transpire beginning in 2010. Regardless, it is great to hear news about team loyalty at a time when it is scarce.
