While the world is celebrating Christmas, Zinezine Zidane has declared in an interview with the soccer magazine France Football that he would like to help Algeria advance in the Group C Stages and advance to the finals.
He talked about Algeria playing against Slovenia, England, and the United States. When asked to elaborate on any contact he has made with the Algerian National Football [Soccer] Team, he stated that maybe he «has helped».
The interview concluded with Zidane stating that Spain and Brazil are «above the rest». While Zidane should be praised for his support of France [where he was born] and Algeria [his ancestral home], he cannot talk about football after his infamous head butt during the 2006 World Cup.
While Algeria managed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, it would be dangerous for him to underestimate any of the teams in Group C especially England. Even the underwriter who supports the US Football [Soccer] Team acknowledges that England will be a tough team to defeat.
Zidane has also said that Brazil and Spain are above the rest. The two countries may have strong chances of winning the 2010 World Cup but again there could be surprises since in football [soccer] like other sports, nothing is absolute.
