Maradona Should Quit: Bonano

In the latest crisis involving Argentine Football/Soccer, Roberto Bonano [who was an ex goalie for the team] has suggested that Maradona either «resign or be declared redundant» as coach of the Argentine National Football/Soccer Team.

Mr. Bonano made the declarations in an interview with the Spanish Football/Soccer Magazine «Don Balon». He further states that the «world should separate Maradona the football [soccer] player from Maradona the coach».

He haas cited the constant changes, the lack of a strategy, and stability for a team that is playing in the World Cup.Mr. Bonano also admitted during the interview that the press conference that Maradona gave after Argentina barely classified for the World Cup was «not proper of a coach».

The underwriter is content with the position that a one time member of the Argentine National Football/Soccer Team has taken. He is also in agreement that Maradona has become a liability to his team.

For his actions, Maradona has been suspended and is not allowed to participate in games for the time being. He is also not allowed to be photographed with coaches from opposing teams. He is also facing struct divisions within his own team and group with internal criticism.

It also appears that according to Mr. Bonano, the team that was once the glory of the 1978 World Cup has become a shadow of itself. It is hoped that either Maradona will resign [which is doubtful] or be declared redundant before the 2010 World Cup.

The fear is that it may take a big defeat in the 2010 World Cup for the Argentine National Football/Soccer Team to take into account the liability that has become Maradona.
