Bolton Wanderers Give Megson The Boot

The Bolton FC has just fired Gary Megson after the club suffered a 2-2 draw during a home game against Hull. The results left the Bolton Wanderers in a precarious position of 18th place in the Barclay League.

The move took effect immediately as Mr. Megson was replaced by the team of Chris Evans and first team coach Steve Wrigley for the season duration. Mr. Megson took over from Sammy Lee in 2007 in the hopes that the club would reverse its declining fortunes.

In the beginning, the Wanderers were saved from relegation but the relationship between Mr. Megson and the supporters of the Wanderers were never good. The end result was a situation that was becoming unsustainable especially when it came to finances as well as an upcoming game against Lincoln and Arsenal.

It is hoped that the Wanderers are able to receive more room to manuever themselves out of an increasingly bleak situation. The alternative could be worse.
