While the teams involved are preparing for the 2010 World Cup, many players feel it is necessary to let out some tension in the form of television appearances including commercials. Landon Donovan did that in Mexico.

He appeared in a television commercial for Ganagol which is a football [soccer] lottery company. In the commercial, Mr. Donovan attempted to cross the border from the USA into Mexico but was identified by a border guard.

He later went to pitch the lottery company. The commercial appears to be a response to the Mexican Football [Soccer] players appearing in commercials in the USA. While Donovan deserves praise for attempting the commercial and adding a comic twist to the 2010 World Cup.

The underwriter himself saw the commercial and is still laughing as he is writing it. If there are any commercials with a 2010 World Cup theme to be recommended, this is destined to be one of the classics.
