Mexico Will Lose To South Africa In Opening 2010 World Cup Game According to a Mystic

In a time of sporting events that make history, there are people who love to make predictions and the majority of them do not happen. The 2010 World Cup is not the exception since Zidane made one prediction. Zidane at least made his prediction based on his knowledge of football [soccer] and love of team].

German Vasquez Alba [also known as «Brujo Mayor» or Great Warlock] is a personality in Mexico famous for his predictions. He has made the latest prediction that South Africa will defeat Mexico in the opening game of the 2010 World Cup. He also said that Mexico will defeat France and Uruguay before being eventually eliminated.

He gave his reasons as «our traditions in the history of eliminations of Mexico in this type of sporting events». The underwriter believes that while maybe South Africa may defeat Mexico, it will be secondary to national pride. The  South African Football [Soccer] team is under pressure from South Africa and Africa itself to win the first game.

The idea of Mexico being «eliminated» secondary to «traditions» is a poor excuse since El Tri [another name for Mexico] has potential. All of the teams in the 2010 World Cup have potential otherwise they would not have classified. Another reason for doubting the predictions of Brujo Mayor is he predicted a chaotic 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics which did not occur.

The lesson from sporting events is never make predictions and never underestimate the opposing teams. Iran once made that mistake when it played against Mexico in the 2006 World Cup only to lose.
