NFL Draft: Jason Campbell

The NFL Draft for the 2010 Season is coming soon and many teams are jockeying for position to acquire the best for their team. Jason Campbell who is a quarterback for the Washington Redskins has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the same team, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, Buffalo Bills, and the Denver Broncos.

His current status is that of a restricted free agent and each of these teams have their reason to acquire Campbell. Whether Campbell returns to the Redskins is another matter. His record during the 2009 NFL Season is one of 20 touchdowns, 15 interceptions, 3618 yards, and an overall rating for a QB of 86.4.

The underwriter could only imagine the Vikings looking for Campbell as a replacement for Brett Favre if he retires. Brett Favre still has some more years ahead of him if he continues. His 2009 NFL Record was 33 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 4,202 yards and a QB rating of 107.2. For the time being, Vikings will not look to Campbell.

The Arizona Cardinals might want an additional quarterback to help Matt Leinart whose 2009 NFL Record was been no touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 435 yards, and an overall rating of 64.6. The Arizona Cardinals is another team that may want Campbell.

The St. Louis Rams and the Buffalo Bills are in need of a quarterback taking into account their performance during the last NFL Season. It could be possible that Campbell is in their list.

The last NFL Team to be mentioned but not the least is the Denver Broncos. Kyle Orton is their quarterback with 21 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 3,802 yards, and a QB Rating of 86.8. The Denver Broncos is another question mark but the underwriter is of the opinion that Orton could remain for another season.

While the underwriter is not an expert in drafts or predictions, his opinion is that Jason Campbell may remain with the Redskins or he would sign with either the Cardinals or the Rams. It remains to be seen what will happen.
