Light Alive In Texas

Light Alive is another group from Texas that deserved to be interviewed by the underwriter even though it has not been nominated for the Texas Music Awards 2010. Light Alive has just formed recently and they took time off from their busy schedule for this interview.

1. How was Light Alive formed?

Christopher started LIGHT ALIVE in Janurary, Aileen [Avikova] gave me a call in early Feb. asking if I wanted to do a project together. I had the name LIGHT ALIVE in my mind and had been looking for the remaining band members. At that point it seemed being a duo was in the cards. We’ve never looked back.

  2. What were the musical inspirations for Light Alive and why?

In 1965, Ray Kurzweil appeared on «I’ve got a Secret» because he had created a computer that composed music. He later went on to become one of the innovators of electronic music as we know it today. I can only imagine feeling he must have had discovering new sounds and techniques. I have what I feel is a similar feeling when I create my music and hope to share it with the world.

3. Who conceived the idea for the name Light Alive?

Christopher. LIGHT ALIVE is about feeling alive, finding your light, whatever that may be.
4. Has Light Alive done any concerts in Texas?

We have not performed as LIGHT ALIVE, we will once our new material is written.

5. Will Light Alive do concerts in other parts of the USA and the world?
Yes, we will start with a nation tour, and expand our tour to be worldwide. We can’t wait to play live to our fans in the other parts of the world. We’ve met some amazing people so far!

6. Where can the public buy music recorded by Light Alive?
You can purchase LIGHT ALIVE’s music on iTunes, Amazon, and in most online stores.

7. What does Light Alive want to say to the public?

The night is young.

Thank you for taking the time for the interview. I hope to one day continue another interview with Light Alive. Please feel free to keep in touch.
