Mexico has just stunned the sports world [including football/ soccer] by announcing that it will support the bid by the USA to host the 2018 or 2022 World Cup. The announcement came after the goalless draw between the Mexican National Football/Soccer Team [also known as El Tri] and Ecuador.
Justino Copean who is the President of the Mexican Football Federation [known by its initials FMF] made the announcement saying that the «USA has the infrastructure, and the will to organize the World Cup».
Mr. Copean stated that «Mexico had other priorities before hosting a World Cup» and that the «USA was a difficult team to defeat». Mexico hosted the 1970 and 1986 World Cup while the USA hosted the 1994 World Cup.
The underwriter would like to congratulate Mr. Copean and the Mexican Football/Soccer Federation in supporting the bid of the USA to host the 2018 or the 2022 World Cup. It appears that following the withdrawal of other countries and the support of Mexico will help the USA.
Regardless, there is a long way to go before the USA is awarded the right to host the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.
