2010 FIFA World Cup: France

France did not deserve to be in the 2010 FIFA World Cup since it was the handball of Theirry Henry that helped France defeat Ireland. The ideal and fair thing to have ocurred would have been to disqualify France and award Ireland the right to the 2010 World Cup. France will be remembered as a team that entered the 2010 FIFA World Cup under unhonorable circumstances.

The sad part about this sordid state of affairs was that France is currently in 10th place with 1044 points in the FIFA Coca Cola Ranking. It is also a crime that this incident had to occur even though France has famous players such as Thierry Henry and Franck Ribery who could have won it without problems.

The underwriter is not surprised since the French player Zidane headbutted an Italian player and gave the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany a slightly damaged reputation. Franck Ribery has predicted that France may win the 2010 FIFA World Cup. France will probably be defeated by the rest of the Group A countries such as South Africa, Mexico, and Uruguay.

South Africa has the tenacity, discipline, and organization as well as the support  of Africans in the continent and the diaspora. Mexico and Uruguay will also win their games against France because of their tenacity and consistent playing although Mexico has fallen during its friendly matches.

France has seven wins, four draws, one loss with 20 goals for and 10 goals against. It has an average of 13 yellow cards and 1 red card. The red card belonged to Hugo Lloris who was expelled from one game. Hugo Lloris has sic goals within 489 minutes. The most valued player of the French National Football/Soccer Team [otherwise known with its French initials of FFF] is Bakari Sagna who has scored 11 goals with 1001 minutes played.

Thierry Henry and Andre Pierre Gignac are other top valued players for their scores and most minutes played. Thierry Henry has scored 11 goals within 968 minutes played. Andre Pierre Gignac has 8 goals with 439 minutes played. The team has other notables such as Florent Malouda, Patrice Evra, Steve Mandanda, and Julien Escude who are athletes in their own right.

Regardless, this is not the dream team that France has for a 2010 FIFA World Cup Championship. It is also a team that has probably been cursed [if such a thing exists] by the fact that they entered on the basis of breaking the cardinal rule of football/soccer.
