SATIRE — It appears that Diego Armando Maradona is not content with being the manager of the Argentine National Football/Soccer Team unless he dominates the headlines with a statement based on the absurd.
Maradona has just announced that he will run naked through the streets of Buenos Aires if Argentina wins the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Whether it is proclaiming himself God or plugging Maradona TV, the thought of Maradona running naked through the streets of Buenos Aires Argentina has taken the soccer world by storm.
The plan by Maradona to run on the buff has surprised many people in Miami Florida and divided the people in the Magic City into three competing ideologies: 1. Maradona must be doing a publicity stunt with the need to obtain attention, 2. Maradona is definitely crazy, or 3. Both of the Above.
I am writing about this latest chapter in the life and career of the controversial football/soccer player/manager from Argentina and laughing. It is a publicity stunt and craziness mixed together.
It remains to be seen how Argentina will react to this latest chapter in its football/soccer history. If this happens, how will the prime time media report on this twisted decision by Maradona.
Whatever happens, it should be said that Maradona is one twisted mind that needs to be admitted to a Psychiatric ward instead of managing a prestigious team from one of the most beautiful countries of the world
