The 2010 World Cup in Soith Africa is less than one day away and people doubt about the US Soccer Team. The comments range from soccer being irrelevant in the USA to a supposed inferiority in the team.
While the US Soccer Team studies the possibilities of its debut game against England including its principal player Rooney, it is imortant to realize that soccer is here to stay in the USA. The people who learn soccer in schools and other places is increasing.
Who could every forget the lone soccer fan in Arizona who followed Manchester United to Washington State and Illinois? Who can forget how Drew Carey [a Comedian who is from Ohio] sponsors an MLS [Major League Soccer] Club in Seattle.
Who can forget the CONCACAF League of Champions Game between the Columbus Crew and Pachuca in the Spring of 2010. The game took place in Columbus, Ohio which is one of the few places where soccer is played [in the capital of Ohio and Middle America].
Who can forget how the USA defeated Spain and Egypt to arrive at second place in the FIFA Confederation Cup in South Africa behind Brazil? The realities are present and inherent. I would like to wish the US Soccer Team the best from the bottom of my heart.
I also would like to challenge the rest of the United States of America to support the US Soccer Team in its good times and bad. I challenge the USA to support the US Soccer Team in its debut game against England in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
I have faith that we can do it [support the US Soccer Team] and eventually win in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
