US Soccer At A Crossroads in the 2010 FIFA World Cup

The teams in Group C such as the USA, England, Slovenia, and Algeria have played their first and second games. They also tore up many predictions in the process especially Slovenia.

Slovenia defeated Algeria and their game against the USA ended in a draw even though the Eagle was robbed of an outright victory by a referee called Koulibaly. The USA and England game ended in a draw.

The USA proceeded to play against Slovenia to the above mentioned results while England VS Algeria was scoreless. Slovenia at the present time has 4 points, the USA has 2 points, England has 2 points, and Algeria has 1 point.

The Slovenian National Football/Soccer Team will advance to the next rounds regardless of winning, losing, or having their game end in a draw.  England and Algeria need a win in order to be considered. The problem is that England will be playing against a tough Slovenian Team.

The USA will be playing against Algeria and it appears that the Algerians are preparing for the upcoming game with the intent of defeating or sending the game towards a draw.

What can the US Soccer team do? It has to play against Algeria on June 23, 2010 with the intention of WINNING. It must WIN and will WIN if they keep their eye on the prize which is surviving Group C.

The US Soccer Team must and shall take their inspiration from the sports rock anthem by the British Rock Group called Queen and their lead singer the late Freddie Mercury. The anthem is “We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions”.

I heard this anthem many times when a team nneds to be inspired and was used in 2007 when the Miami FC came from behind to score against the Charleston Battery at a match held at Tropical Park in Miami Florida.

WE MUST WIN, WE WILL WIN, WE WILL ROCK THE 2010 WORLD CUP WITH A VICTORY. REMEMBER THE SENTENCE “YES WE CAN”!!!!!
