I felt the agony of defeat when my US Soccer Team lost to Ghana and was eliminated from the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It is easy to blame the coach and the team for a defeat especially when opportunities were missed. Maybe the Coach did not go a great job but at least we defended ourselves in the best way possible.

While there is a need for a new philosophy and new blood [as well as training future professionals], we have reached a new chapter in which US Soccer is becoming popular and appreciated outside of its fanbase. I am a US Soccer Fan since 2006 during its good as well as not so good times. We will learn from our mistakes, pull ourselves from our misery and enter the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
