Ricardo La Volpe has announced that he will sign a contract with Costa Rica to be the next coach of their soccer team. The announcement comes after days of speculation in the Central American nation about whether the team will be coached by La Volpe or Jesus Ramirez of Club America.

Mr. La Volpe (who is active in Mexican and Argentine Football/Soccer circles] stated that he is hoping to get started right away in preparations for the CONCACAF Elimination games. He is also expressing his hope that with hard work, Costa Rica can maybe even classify for the 2014 World Cup.

It is expected to be a tough road for Costa Rica, yet the people in its majority have been praising the selection of Mr. La Volpe and have most of their hopes and aspirations placed on him.
