Maradona In Aston Villa? Give Me A Break

The saga of Diego Armando Maradona does not seem to end with his departure as coach of the Argentine National Football/Soccer Team. It appears that Maradona has set his sights on becoming the next manager of Aston Villa, replacing Martin O’Neill, who resigned.

Mr. Maradona is competing with other possible replacements for the English Premier League team, such as US Soccer Coach Bob Bradley and Ajax Manager Martin Jol. He also expressed his love of the English countryside.

Aston Villa has responded that it will not rush to name a successor to Martin O’Neill. Maradona’s European representative Walter Soriano states that the EPL could do worse if his client is not considered.

Maradona has made the mistake of thinking he will have privacy, but it is doubtful. He should not consider Aston Villa unless he is willing to be fodder for the tabloid press in England.
