Jorge Vergara who is the President of Chivas Of Guadalajara admits that he made a mistake in selling Javier Chicharito Hernandez to Manchester United.
He admitted that Hernandez should have stayed with the Mexican team at least until the finals of the Copa Libertadores.
The regret comes after news that the Reba~no (the nickname for Chivas of Guadalajara) has faced problems in the Copa Libertadores with a loss to Internacional of Brazil.
Mr. Vergara also found out to his regret that the managers of Internacional of Brazil had a similar problem when their midfielder Sandro signed with the Tottenham Hotspurs.
The managers of Internacional resolved their problem by insisting that Sandro remain in Brazil until the end of the Copa Libertadores.
The lesson to be learned when negotiating with teams for players is to find an advantage for the home team and player.
It appears that certain Mexican teams may have been blinded by the product of an English League team and may have conceded too much too soon.
At least Brazil has been able to negotiate in a way that everyone benefitted. Brazil also has the advantage of more contact with the outside world in football/soccer
