Estudiantes de Tecos defeated San Luis FC in a hotly contested Mexican League Football/Soccer game held at Estadio Tres De Marzo in Zapopan, Mexico.
This is their first victory in the Mexican League 2010-2011 season. Samuel Ochoa, Diego Jimenez, and Ramon Morales scored for the team.
Michael Arroyo and Anibal Matellan scored for San Luis.
Samuel Ochoa scored the first goal of the game for Estudiantes by a surprise kick that surprised the goalie of San Luis Cesar Lozano at 23 minutes.
San Luis was weak with two of their players receiving yellow cards.
Regardless, Michael Arroyo was able to equalize within 44 minutes for his team after taking advantage of a weak defense and a distracted goalie for the Estudiantes (Christian Martinez).
He kicked the ball in a rapid pace toward the net with his left foot.
It was now a struggle for the finish with both teams playing like if their life depended on it. It appeared that neither side wanted to give up in this electrifying game.
San Luis played aggressively and dangerously which lead to errors such as Wilmer Aguirre barely using his head to hit the ball which crashed against the goal post.
Diego Jimenez scored for the Estudiantes de Tecos on the basis of a free kick which surprised the already distracted and exhausted Cesar Lozano within 73 minutes.
Anibal Matellan responded by scoring another goal for San Luis to the chagrin of an equally exhausted Christian Martinez within 79 minutes.
Ramon Morales finished the game with the last goal for Estudiantes with a direct kick around 82 minutes.
Miguel Herrera the coach for Estudianteswas expelled for unprofessional conduct which he apologized for.
