While we in America are celebrating our Labour Day with music from ELO and other artists, I found out about the untimely death of Mike Edwards.

ELO was one of the greatest groups that were around in Great Britain and the USA during the 1970’s. I even remember hearing their music while in high school in Venezuela or spending summers with my cousins in Miami Florida.

I will never forget the songs such as “Hold On Tight To Your Dreams”, “Evil Woman”, and one song with the catchy verse: “It’s a Given Thing What A Terrible Thing To Do”.

ELO’s contribution to the movie Xanadu will also be remembered as one of the greatest although it did not receive the publicity it deserves.

Mike Edwards will be missed since he is the greatest person and musician of the second half of the 20^th and beginning of the 21^st Century.
