The National Hurricane Center located in Miami Florida has announced the formation of Tropical Storm number 16 off the coast of Cuba.
It is expected to be named Nicole this afternoon and will head towards the south and central portion of Florida.
The current location is 20.6N 82.5 W and is 180 miles from La Habana Cuba and 390 miles from Miami Florida.
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Florida Keys, the Cayman Islands, Northwest and Central Bahamas. It has also been issued for Jupiter Inlet, Florida and parts of Collier County.
Cuba has also issued tropical storm warnings for the island from Matanzas to Ciego de Avila.
Miami-Dade is expected to be under a flood warning
until 2:00 PM tomorrow.

A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE AREA. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
OF UP TO 3 TO 5 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE
THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY WITH THIS SYSTEM. IF PATTERNS OF REPEATED
RAINFALL OVER THE SAME AREAS DEVELOP THE RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD
ACTUALLY BE 2 TO 3 TIMES HIGHER THAN FORECAST IN VERY LOCALIZED
AREAS.
