I am not an expert in world politics but this will not prevent me from writing about a historical milestone in the relationship between the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America.

The visit of The President of The People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao is a symbol of the importance of the relationship between the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America.

In spite of the rhetoric of certain demagogues in America that need an enemy to justify their grasp of power [in all spheres including the media], the USA would be risking everything by blaming China for problems which can be resolved by US Citizens themselves.

China and the United States of America have a lot to offer each other. The USA has a lot more to gain especially if it were to move in the same direction that China is moving. I mean in the sense of peaceful coexistence and living and let live.

China and the United States of America can also benefit from increased contacts in sports. I write this as an expert in sports and taking into account that the US Women’s National Football [Soccer] Team is visiting China at the same time that President Hu Jintao visits USA.

Who can forget the basketball games and the exchange between basketball stars of both countries?

The visit of President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao to the United States Of America marks another milestone of a personal nature.  I am referring to my personal relationship with the People’s Republic of China and CRI since 1970.

My relationship is more than just friendship and alliances, it is one of family based on the sense that China and CRI have been with me for most of my life in good and bad times. It is something that is unforgettable.

I also remember my trip to China in 2008 and how people were very nice to me. China is one of the few places where people of different cultures can live in harmony. At the same time, there is a sense of community.

I would like to wish the President of The People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao a pleasant stay in the USA.
