TRADITIONAL EASTER RECEPTIONS FOR CHILDREN AT THE WHITE PALACE

Belgrade, 18 April 2011 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Philip organized traditional Easter receptions during the day at the White Palace for over a thousand children without parental care, Roma children and children with disabilities.
Along with Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno attended the first traditional Easter reception.
During the receptions the children were given sweets and toys, and were entertained by the St. John The Theologist children’s church choir from Sabac who also performed the Serbian National Anthem “Boze pravde”.
Addressing the children, HRH Crown Prince Alexander warmly welcomed them and said: “We have a wonderful opportunity to share the spirit of Easter, the most joyful holiday. I hope that you will have a wonderful time, and that you will like the presents that especially my wife Crown Princess Katherine and her foundation has prepared for you”.
After the reception and delivery presents the children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the Park of the White Palace.
Today’s noble action was supported by Lifeline Chicago and Lifeline Hellas, as well as numerous friends from Greece and Serbia: Coca-Cola Hellenic Serbia, Culinary Association of Serbia, Bakery Trpkovic, KIKA, Chocoland, Paracinka Paracin, Sugar Factory Zabalj, Dexy Co, «Vrabac“.
