I had the honor of meeting the singer songwriter Jessica Rae during the Key West Songwriter Festival. She also performed a series of concerts titled “Stories With Strings” at the Hard Rock Café in the same city.
During her concert in the Hard Rock Café, the EP by Jessica Rae titled “Ruby Red” was sold to people who wanted to true rock and country music. The five songs in the album are all gems within their own right.
The album “Ruby Red” was also part of the repertoire of the “Stories With Strings” concert at the Hard Rock Café in Key West, Florida.
I listen to the album and remember how Jessica Rae performed them in the “Stories With Strings” concert. The songs in the EP are “Hello Chicago”, “He’s Not You”, “The Trumpet Song”, “Dancin With The Devil”, and “Ruby Red”.
“Hello Chicago” is a loving tribute to the Windy City that is the birthplace of Jessica Rae. Jessica Rae grew up in Chicago with a family that loved music.
She remembers the times she spends in the Windy City with family and friends. Jessica Rae also describes Chicago in a positive note.
“He’s Not You” is another song interpreted by Jessica Rae. The song with the heart and soul of the singer evokes emotions of life experiences when dealing with love.
The people who see “The Trumpet Song” will know the down to earth humor and upbeat personality that Jessica Rae possesses. I heard the song during her concert at the Hard Rock Café in Key West.
Jessica Rae starts the song with her imitation of a trumpet. When I first heard the CD, I thought it was an actual trumpet. When I saw, Jessica Rae imitating a trumpet in “The Trumpet Song”, it made me forgets the daily grind at home.
The song “Dancin With The Devil” is another example of Jessica Rae at her best. The song is catchy and the performance of the song was great as well.
“Ruby Red” is the last song in the EP and it dealt with ruby red slippers. Jessica Rae was very excited in this song during the concert and in this album.
The result was a public that liked the song and bought the album. Jessica Rae has crossed a threshold in her singing career with “Ruby Red”.
I recommend the EP for anyone who is interested in owning an album recorded by the greatest singer songwriter in the USA.
