During the 2010 Christmas season, Laura Marie (the internationally renown singer-songwriter from Texas) collaborated with her colleague Chris Taylor on an ambitious musical project for the season. The purpose of the project was to raise awareness and funds for the humanitarian organization Living Water International via the Advent Conspiracy in order to provide clean water to those who need it.

The result of the project was the now acclaimed album «Water 4 Music» by these two renowned artists famous for their talent as well as for their humanitarian gesture. I had the honour of listening to the album during the 2010 Christmas season as well as after the season for its beauty.

The first song of the album is «The Cherry Tree Carol» which was popularized by the Puerto Rican singer Jose Feliciano during the 1960’s and 1970’s. The song dealt with the Virgin Mary and Joseph on the way to Bethlehem with Jesus inside the womb.

I had the honour of hearing Laura Marie interpret «The Cherry Tree Carol» and the impact was very strong in my heart. I can only confess that my mouth opened, my eyes (as well as my heart) were filled with emotion, and a pen dropped from my hands.

The reason was that the interpretation of «The Cherry Tree Carol» by Laura Marie left me visualizing how Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem for the Roman Empire census with Jesus inside the womb. Laura Marie (with her interpretation) reinforced my belief in God.

Chris Taylor recorded his version of the all time Christmas classic «Angels We Have Heard On High» with authority and majesty. The interpretation by Chris Taylor is a newer and renovated version of the timeless classic with a contemporary Texas and American twist.

I had to hear the Chris Taylor version of «Angels We Have Heard On High» in order to feel the impact of the song. The result was the visualization of the day Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem.

The result was not a surprise since Chris Taylor (as well as Laura Marie) are interpreters of contemporary music in their own right. Laura Marie and Chris Taylor left an impact on the author as well as the world with «Water 4 Music».

Laura Marie and Chris Taylor deserve praise for this humanitarian effort which comes from one of the greatest Christmas albums of the 21st Century. It is for this reason that I give high rewards for this album.
